Hindu Symbols in Taj Mahal

 
The Taj Mahal, which is regarded as one of the Seven Wonders of the modern world today as a symbol of the love of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. This great piece of architecture was built by Emperor Shah Jahan to keep his promise, which he made to his wife, who died wile giving birth to their thirteenth child. The promise was that he would fulfill his request, which was the construction of a piece of architecture that symbolize their love.

The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum, which is considered so far to be the best architecture in regard to the Mughal architecture is concerned. It is interesting to note that, during the period Mugjhal, monuments, palaces and other architectural pieces have a touch of style that was followed by Hindus and it could also be said here that the Taj Mahal is not an exception. The reason behind this is the use the lotus, which is a sacred symbol of cultural heritage as far as India is concerned.

As far as the Hindu symbols in Taj Mahal is concerned, it can be said that the Taj Mahal is graced with many reasons lotus. It is also essential to clarify here that the dome of the Taj Mahal brings to mind the image of the lotus which is closed in a form that the increase is based on the petals.

The Purankalsa, Purnakalasa, which is also mentioned as Purnakumbha, Purnaghata and Mmangalakalasa is known as one of eight symbols of classical art associated with India. This symbol is very closely associated with the goddess Lakshmi (goddess of wealth) and also with foliage which is composed of leaves, buds and flowers. Regarding the Hindu symbols in Taj Mahal, one can say that the reasons Thanksgiving Purnakalasa inside the Taj Mahal and you can miss not only the beautiful grounds of foliage, which was included inside border a wonderful way.
