Mumtaz
Mahal, which is also known as
Anjumand Banu Begum was born
in the year 1593 a Persian nobleman,
Abdul Hasan Asaf Khan, the brother
of Nur Jahan (wife of Emperor
Jahangir).
Mumtaz Mahal was married
to Shah Jahan, when she was
only 19 years old in the year
1612 on May 10. Mumtaz Mahal
was the third wife of Shah
Jahan and it is told by historians
that it was the most trusted
companion Shah Jahan. This
can be proved by the fact
that he gave his imperial
seal, which is known as Muhr
Uzah. Mumtaz spend hours watching
the fight and struggle liked
to spend his time in the garden.
The relationship that Shah
Jahan shared with Mumtaz Mahal
was very special and it is
necessary to mention here,

Mumtaz Mahal accompanied Shah
Jahan in his military campaigns.

The death of Mumtaz Mahal
took place in the year 1631,
when she gave birth to their
thirteenth child. According
to the account of historians,
the latter wish that Mumtaz
Mahal sent to her husband,
it is expected that Shah Jahan
built a monument that would
stand as a symbol of their
love and also has asked that
her husband should not marry
to anyone. Shah Jahan was
unable to cope with his death.
However, it took the decision
to build a mausoleum, which
is known as the Taj Mahal
