Shah Jahan

Shah Jahan was born in the year 1628 to the Mughal emperor, Jehangir. In the early years of his life, Shah Jahan was known as the prince Khurram, and it is essential to mention here that after the prince Khurram was reported to the emperor, the title of Abul Muzzafar Shahbuddin, Muhammad, Sahib-i - Kiran was awarded to Shah Jahan.

Shah Jahan received its first challenge Jujhar Singh, son of Bir Singh Deo, who was the head of Bundela after ascending the throne. Jujhar Singh, after handing revolted once again and it was defeated at the second time as well. However, Shah Jahan face the toughest challenge of his life, when Shah Jahan had to fight Khan Jahan Lodi, which was supported by the rule of Ahmednagar and it took place in the year 1628. However, this battle is over in the year 1630 and the main reason for this is that it has been Jahan Khan, who refused to continue with this battle. Jahan Khan was killed near the Fort Kalanjar.

Shah Jahan also played a major role in regard to the Deccan policy is concerned and the result was the suspicion of allying with the Persian Shiite leaders, but it was an end to this problem with the death of Malik Ambar . One of the most important is associated with Shah Jahan, is that under his reign, the Mughals captured Fort Daulatabad. He won many battles.

Shah Jahan was married to Anjuman Begum, who came to be known later as Mumtaz Mahal. He first saw it when he was a young boy and were married five years later and after his death, Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal, which stands today as a summary of their love. The Taj Mahal is regarded today as one of the seven wonders of the modern world.

During the month of December of the year 1657, Shah Jahan fell ill and taking advantage of this disease, Aurangzeb (the son of Shah Jahan), became the emperor and imprisoned him. After his death, Shah Jahan was buried beside his wife at the Taj Mahal.
